WHAT TO EXPECT
The Beauty Masterclass is designed to give makeup artists and graduates a real-world, hands-on experience in beauty photography.
The day begins with introductions, followed by an informative live makeup demonstration. You’ll start by learning how to translate a make up brief into a stunning makeup look, and then observe a live demo discussing the selection of the right makeup products, application techniques, and placement. We’ll emphasise the importance of symmetry and blending as well as how to collaborate with professional models and clients.
You’ll then watch a live beauty photoshoot with renowned fashion photographer Lucius Yin, where you'll learn how to work seamlessly with the photographer and the entire on-set team. Understand your role as a makeup artist—when to step in, what to look for, and how to assist the photographer and other creatives to ensure the best outcome for the shoot and your makeup!
Throughout the day, you’ll gain insight into the professional studio workflow and have the chance to ask questions. You’ll receive expert guidance on breaking into the beauty industry, and all participants will have an all-access pass to a video recording of the masterclass to review the content at any time.
